With that many people below one would think they would require two points of entry/exit.
Yes, I’ve been on this boat. There is an escape hatch over the back bunk. But, assuming they became aware of the fire before they died/passed out, I can’t even imagine the chaos of 30+ people trying to all go out through that escape hatch.
Looks just like Navy berthing.
But there’s a design flaw. Only one way out.
One way out!
That, and apparently no fire watch doomed them.
Lawsuits will abound and will prevail. The boat manufacturer will be found liable. The insurance company will be found liable. The operator will be found liable.
