“Law does not apply if the manufacturer did not install a Switch.”

And as I understand it, that does apply to older boats. But apparently if you buy a new boat, it is a requirement that the manufacturer install the dash plugin and supply the lanyard.

This whole thing is confusing. Some say kill switch is mandatory:
