This causes me to remember the 1952 (yes, 1952) Democrat convention that I watched part of on my parents’ new 21” B & W TV. They showed a movie eulogizing FDR and claiming that he ended the Great Depression. A great, memorable scene in that movie was when a group of theretofore unemployed factory workers heard a factory’s steam whistle, turned, looked, and, to their great happy amazement, saw smoke once again emerging from the factory’s smoke stacks, meaning they’d be back to work and earing wages.
There was the old Democrat party, a party that least gave lip service to work, employment, and wealth creation. Now it’s become a neo-communist, wealth and income destroying Luddite horror committed to income and wealth destruction, as can be seen from what Cuomo’s doing to the citizens of NYC by maliciously and deliberately denying them the clean energy they need to prosper and live well, all in service of the Green Superstition.

I watched those, too. I felt a strong fascination for politics then and it has lasted to this day (age 73). Liked Ike.
