A Middlesex County man is in police custody after several pipe bomb-like devices were found near the route of a Labor Day parade that the governor was set to attend Monday.
Officials detained a man on Monday morning after they found over half a dozen devices on his large property near South Plainfields Labor Day Parade route, according to a senior law enforcement official with the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness.

The official described the suspect as a rogue individual in his 50s who liked explosives.
Yes, Shanover. You have to forget all this. Remember, it is New Jersey.
IMO, if one doesn’t use social media and has a burner phone and was ticketed for an expired car registration 30 years ago they will be labeled as a rouge by government authorities.
Read some of the comments - he hadn’t planted the explosives as the story seems to indicate - they were supposedly found on private property...
the guy had some fireworks and they arrested him...in any other state having fireworks would be a common occurrence.

the officials are pathetic...
so we’re talking firecrackers? >>>
YES!! the feds and state police have to prove how big they are and justify their salaries by harassing a man and ruining a parade for thousands.
so pathetic..it must have been a slow day.. I thought the cops were out to get drunk drivers on labor day.
