Thought experiment. If you were Bill Barr, you genuinely understood the frustration out there with the appearance of two standards of justice, and you genuinely wanted to do something about it—but you knew you were fighting the entrenched bureaucrats of the deep state and their allies in the media, what would you do?

Here’s what I think I would do.

1. I would put the project of conducting the investigation and prosecutions of the deep state bad actors in the hands of a out of Washington are prosecutor who has a reputation for being tough as nails, and a proven track record of willing to go after the entrenched bureaucracy.

2. I would pick and choose my battles. If there were multiple issues to prosecute on, I would choose the one with the clearest, best facts, and that case the widest net.

3. I would absolutely shut up about what’s going on until the indictments come down, to minimize the opportunity the deep state’s allies in the press have to roil things.

As far as I can see, that could still be exactly what is going on, behind the scenes.

I know its quite frustrating to have to wait, but I am still withholding judgment waiting to see whether they prosecute the whole FISA/ investigate Trump project. If they don’t, that’s when I will conclude that the justice system in this country is fundamentally unfair and broken.

If I as Barr, and I was concerned about how the public reacts, i would tell the public tha tthe power of the law is ilimited, and that if they want a good government, they better not rely on the law to provide it.

Read the founders. They knew government was dangerous. More so these days because the government is not only dangerous, it is unmanageable.

It’s been reported no grand juries have been impaneled. What’s going now is we are being conditioned to accept the fact that “punishments other than indictments” are all we are going to get. Bruce Ohr still works for the FBI, etc.

If Barr was truly serious about prosecuting Democrats he would never allow Horowitz to work bankers hours and continue slow walking his “investigation”. With November 2020 fast approaching time is of the essence here, obviously.

Thanks for your voice of reason, FRiend Conservator.

I’ve posted similar sentiments on other threads over the past 48 hours or so.

I’m getting a little tired of repeating myself, other than to state that I smell the stink of defeatism among many FReepers.

Yes, things are bad. But no, the USA isn’t going communist — it would partition before that happened. Fortunately, I’m in the sane and sober part of the country.

Could be, but why aren’t there any “early wins”? Surely there’s one slam-dunk case that could be quickly over with a high assurance of victory. That NO ONE has been locked up yet sadly and likely means no one will be locked up. However, we prayed about this today. The fourth branch of government needs to be dismantled or at least its key actors replaced.

I agree with your post 12. We don't know what's really going on.

The problems are numerous, complex, and have been going on for a long time.

They aren't going to be resolved overnight.

For now, wait and see is best.

Everyone please keep praying for President Trump and our country.

I agree...I think the corruption is so deep that to get to the true bottom of it will take time.....and by taking that time and slowly building a factual case..the general public will get a better handle on just how deep the deep state is...

but...at some point...if indictments don't come to all the Top echelon players..the country is done

The more I learn about Barr, the less hope I have for real justice:
