There’s this wrinkle called the law.
If the home owner didn’t say he feared for his life, he is going to prison for a long time.

Whether or not you think he, or you, “should” be able to smoke anyone on your property is meaningless.

Thanks. Is that the case in every state?

As it turns out, I remember a case from a few years ago. A homeowner [Asian immigrant IIRC] noticed a young black male routing through his garage at night. Later, he noticed the kid doing it again and shot him dead.

The last I heard, the law was preparing to send it to trial - murder or manslaughter. I never heard what happened.
