Actually, that is not entirely correct - about either group.

The original concept of sacrifice means: to give up something of lesser value for something of greater value.

The ancients sacrificed chldren, considered of lesser value, for blessings from their gods, considered of greater value. (If they valued children so very highly, then they would not have sacrificed them!)

Today’s common woman who obtains an abortion in America would not say that the preborn fetus is of absolutely no value, but that something else, her career, the environment, some other leftist ideal, was of greater value.

It is the Marxist propagandists who seek to portray the fetus as of no value, precisely because they know that the common woman - or man - instinctively knows it is of value. They are forced to protest too much, because most people instinctively know that the preborn child is of value - even if the value ascribed to it falls short of its full, unalienable value.

Your comment sounds pithy, but it falls short of the truth.

You're trying too hard. The ancients sacrificed children because they thought they held enough value to influence a god.
American women abort children because of a job or the environment? These women aren't trying to buy or influence anything. They're trying to go back to the time the baby’ didn't EXIST.
