“If he did that, he might just win the state in 2020.”
You’re forgetting state’s rights. And the liberals want it this way as they can continue to show how they are “helping” the homeless with words. But they got them in here so they have to protect their investment.
Put them in military housing? Where? The military housing established for active reservations is full and can’t handle the population existing now. All the base closures have been accomplished with the land and facilities being taken back by he surrounding area. I was involved with three closures: two in Sacramento, McClellan and Mather, and one at Atwater, Castle. They all belong to the people with private ownership in the state and have nothing to do with the feds. BRAC is not shutting down facilities, it is getting rid of them.
It is a state problem, they have to fix it. And they don’t want to as it traps people in the relief that California provides. And they are helping more of them go in there. A voting base.

Fair questions. There’s plenty of acreage on military bases in California (and elsewhere), you would just need to build the housing. I’m envisioning temporary barracks. I’m sure the military has plans for what would happen in the case of a major outbreak of an infectious disease in big cities like Los Angeles. Just do that now, as a preventative measure, instead of waiting for it to happen.
