“Another poster with an eating disorder chiming in. There is nothing inherently wrong with carbohydrates. Would love if there was a way meet up in a gym...”
Well, I guess the fact that ‘eating disorders’ EXPLODED once people cut way back on their meat consumption around 1980 (thanks to our government) and replaced them with carbs...is just a ‘coincidence’ to you.
And considering the numbers of overweight/obese/diabetic people in the country, virtually all of who got there by eating carbs, people like youself are close to being in the minority (you certainly would be where I work)...perhaps it’s you guys with the eating disorder, since ‘normal’ people (i.e., the majority of people) are now overweight, if not in worse shape.
For others, have a look at this video:

First, I 100% agree that the “fat free” promotion in the late 80s, and early 90’s caused a huge increase in weight problems in this country. However, it was mainly because people started eating a ton of highly caloric sugary “fat free” products, thinking they could do it without worry.
Fats are very good for you, but so are proteins and carbohydrates. Extreme imbalances of any of these are not good for you long term.
So we probably agree to some extent on the value of fats, etc., but disagree on the carb side.

Outstanding video...thanks!
