There is a show on Netflix called “Mind Hunter”. It is about the initial start of the FBI’s “Behavioral Crimes Unit”. They go in and interview the serial killers (they gave them the name “serial”) to try to make sense of why they did the stuff they did. Prior the cops just said “Who knows- they’re just nuts!”
The actors they get to portray the serial killers look VERY similar to the actual killers. The TV show script when they are in the prison interviewing the killers are from the actual transcripts of the tape recordings.
Killer: “Well, one needs to be very exacting and precise to kill as many women as I did in my vocation.”
FBI: “Vocation?”
Killer: “What would you call it - a hobby? It was much more than a hobby.”
