Put another way, I wonder if the powers that be realize that Trump is likely to win and that they need a throwaway candidate. Joe is at the end, already failed twice, what’s one more? The younger ones don’t want to be labeled losers so early.Some dems may be hoping that Biden will run with Harris or Warren, win the election, and then die or resign.

Some dems may be hoping that Biden will run with Harris or Warren, win the election, and then die or resign. If by some quirk of fate that scenario came to pass i don't think Harris or Warren or other power hungry democrats would wait for Joe to die of natural causes.
Hillary would take care of it for them - for a price....
