Yes, people live to meet "their basic needs". /sarcasm

LOL. 99% of people want the best life has to offer. Few achieve it. My contention is if the MW did in fact pay enough for basic needs that would not be enough for 99% of the population. They would still get evacuated and still strive for more. Then again I haven't given up on the American people like the cynical bastard you appear to be.

Wanting something and working for it are two different things. Sure, I'd love to win the lottery, but hope is not a strategy. And the fact is, most people don't try to better themselves, so they wind up with whatever they can get, sometimes it works out, other times, not so much.
