We don’t know enough information about what actually happened. Obviously, the woman who called the cops felt that the man posed some sort of risk. As we should never trust the media, I think we should withhold judgment on this fairly Trivial event. The police obviously have to respond to the scene when they get a call. If they had not responded, and a crime had occurred, the media would be blasting the cops for not taking action.
