I have two thoughts. He did honour the marriage long enough for his kids to be grown and become adults. That’s a good thing in itself.
I think men, who come out as gay later in life, are probably going through hormonal changes that should be looked at by doctors, if they weren’t so politically correctly hampered in making such diagnoses.

creating babies doesn't take much.....gay guys do it all the time and they can be monogamous up until they decide they want to be promiscuous....with men...
