Epstein was
TOO valuable a person in regards to knowledge about the Clintons (and worldwide pedophile networks) and the "white hats" knew he was a target at the Manhattan Correctional Center. As such, this ruse was used to move him out of there and it served two purposes: 1) to confuse people on what
REALLY happened to him and 2) to focus attention again to the massive pedophile network he ran.
Indeed, I would not be surprised that given the highly insidious nature of pedophile networks in the entertainment industry, some well-known celebrities "died" publicly for their safety because they turned over a lot of damning information: Robin Williams, Anthony Bourdain, Kate Spade, and a few others, mostly because of their considerable insider knowledge of the entertainment industry pedophiles.
Interesting theory - and quite plausible. However, they would all to have to stay dead - bringing them back at the end of an investigation for a reunion Fox News TV special would destroy what little credibility the Federal Government has left. :)
