In the true confessions department, I on had to spend 45 minutes behind bars in a county lockup. Never you mind just how this happened! (“It was all just a misunderstanding officer! Really, I swear it!”) The intake process involved removing my tie, my belt, shoes, my wristwatch, and—in what struck me as the most unnecessary step—even my wedding ring. There wasn’t even toilet paper in the cell that I could attempt to swallow if I wanted to try to choke myself or throw spitwads at another cell dweller (who were all passed out in any case).
If a local county lockup can take these kind of precautions against self-harm, it beggars belief that a federal facility, guarding the most high-profile criminal in the country just now, couldn’t prevent a hanging. This stinks.
Attorney General Barr is asking for an FBI investigation and and Inspector General investigation. Why an IG investigation, too? Maybe he doesn’t trust the Clinton-friendly FBI? (On the other hand, if this IG report takes as long as most of them do to finish, we’ll be dead from global warming before we see it.)

Yeah. Thirty-five years ago, I was in the lockup. DWI. Shoe laces, tie. All confiscated. No sheets, no mattress. Just a wooden slab. DWI. One night. Nobody to no one. They didn’t take a chance.
I am not convinced there will be a “real” investigation...other than a Trey Gowdy hot air conclave.
Here's what I think happened:
I am not one to go out on a limb, always been level-headed, sitting back to observe and take in information.
But these days more than anytime in my life, I have never seen such blatant in your face lies and omissions put out by the corporate controlled news media. It's disgusting and frightening.
They have succeeded in seizing the news cycle. POTUS waited too long, gave them time to prepare and they are blasting with something every other day now.
Yeah; starting Monday, there’s going to be a game played. An ugly game. Official cell phone records, personal cell phone records, home phone records... We may actually get to see someone fired (with no chance of a wrongful termination lawsuit) over this.
If the FBI can find any of his blackmail material, though... The sky is the limit.

In that case someone will at least get hollered at.
The LEOs in that jail are federal union. Nobody will get fired.
It will end up like the 911 commission. Everyone’s ass is covered. Inconclusive.

Even moderately intelligent criminals know they have to figure out how to cover their tracks _before_ they commit the crime.
The folks that murdered Epstein would not have done it without being reasonably certain they could get away with it.
Anyone who knows what happened won’t talk.
Anyone who talks about it has no clue what happened.
Anyone who tries to investigate it will be fed zillions of megabytes of disinformation and misinformation.
The mass media will just repeat whatever lies they are told.
Barr should go back to dealing with fighting crimes that are not above his pay grade—highway speeding, for example.

The AP is already branding Americans that disbelieve their BS story as “conspiracy theorists”.
August 10, 2019 is the day when on the order of 100 million Americans became conspiracy theorists.
The corporate controlled news studios were calling Americans who were screaming in July that he would be murdered in jail “conspiracy theorists”.
And now it’s worse; if we think logically for ourselves and do not follow their prescribed narrative, then not only are we conspiracy theorists, we are domestic terrorists!
It would be hilarious if it were not so serious. We had an attempted coup and now there’s a plan to round up and dox American conservatives/ That’s what’s going down.
And completely coincidental, having nothing to do with anything you understand, in July the FBI declared that conspiracy theorists are domestic terrorists and a danger to national security.

Strange that Epstein’s lawyer has been silent. Or did he have a lawyer? Someone whose client supposedly attempted suicide a couple of weeks prior should express outrage that his client wasn’t more closely monitored.
