I don’t disagree with your points about mental instability and delusions stemming from psychotropic drugs… and I don’t disagree with your comments about the poor decision in the Carter government that dumped the mentally deranged on to the street. However, in the search for not just the cause of mass killings but the cause of the cause of the cause, let’s not forget about the spiritual depravity and the roots of it that has stricken the nation. I’m particularly reminded of what Paul wrote in Romans 1 and specifically verses 28 to 32 which starts off with “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind…..”

God is very patient but when man goes his own way and refuses to recognize the reality and supremacy of God, He basically is saying “well, you do have free will… you are now on your own.” And when that happens, the individual is completely consumed by Satanic evil with these types of actions being the end result. When thinking about whether things will get better or worse just ask yourself….. On a broad basis, is this society turning toward God or away from Him? Lest one doubt the impact of what it means to a society as a whole to have huge Christian revival, it’s immensely insightful to examine what it meant to the nation when it occurred previously i.e. in the 1730/40s in New England, in the early 1800s starting in Kentucky and in the 1850s based out of New York. These were events of incredible scope that totally changed the course of the culture.

I may be wrong about this but I often view the administering of drugs like Ritalin simply as just another way to avoid having to deal with spiritual conditions be they at an individual, family, school or community level. What does God think about using drugs to avoid dealing with their spiritual condition? Like most things in life, these need to be dealt with at the root or it will just come back to bite later on.....
