The hopelessness of the 1960s ghettoes has spread nationwide, and for similar reasons: Southern blacks moved to cities for manufacturing jobs, and the areas were stable until the manufacturing jobs left. Nowadays any jobs is threatened by foreigners, either going overseas or by bringing them here (and beating down any dissent as The Great Replacement occurs). This is no longer just Asians taking tech jobs from Americans; there are few sectors untouched by it.
