The reality of the situation is, there are millions of those nasty “Assault Rifles” in the hands of millions of Americans. There are already millions of citizens who own millions of “banned” firearms across the nation who have not “obeyed” the powers that be regardless of the consequences.
How many turned in their banned weapons? (Relatively few)
How many decided to simply ignore the ban when it affected them personally? (The overwhelming majority).
Now, considering the above, why hasn’t the local government gone after these “scofflaws”?
I doubt there's millions. Maybe a few hundred thousand TOPS in the handful of states where they're banned. They haven't been rounded up because there isn't a serious priority in law enforcement to do so. They will change when the orders are given.

I have not seen any evidence that will convince me differently. Meekness is epidemic among conservatives. We talk a great game but could learn something about mettle from Antifa who are out there in the streets, punching people in their faces. They walk the walk.
