We have a clear instance of bammy using the full power of law enforcement for political purposes, and to break the law.

Law enforcement is enTRUSTed with significant powers: the power to detain, to seize property, to neutralize with deadly force. This power must be used for good purposes. When law enforcement abuses this power it must be held accountable, more so than an ordinary citizen.

bammy used it wrongly. Until bammy is prosecuted and thrown in prison for this, the unfair balance will continue to exist.

What? can’t imagine putting an ex-president in prison? I can. There are no privileged individuals in a constitutional republic. All have equal standing and status. “The Law is no Respecter of Persons”? Nice theory.

That's a popular myth, propagated by the self-serving legal system. Parallels the "objective press" myth propagated by the self-serving press.

That said, the liberals hold that the more powerful the person, the higher the standard. By that rationale, ex-presidents are MORE likely to go to jail than others. Higher you go, tougher the law.
