No...because it doesnt allow for interaction and an exchange of ideas on an electronic media. Perhaps you should have read the definition. Since when is a pamphlet electronic? Read the definition of FR on the front page. Social media just isnt Twitter and Facebook. Its any electronic forum that allows users to exchange ideas back and forth and allows them to interact in a social setting. If FR was ONLY allowing you to post news articles and not comment, you may have a point, but it doesnt. It allows users to interact. Users also interact and discuss gardening, vanity topics, whats your favorite song that had the word gun in it...etc.
Thats people gathering socially over an electronic forum whether you want to admit it or not.
