I’ve been reading about the solar minimum for quite a while and have had this devious thought:
- could the climate change, carbon tax, green new dealers possibly be smart enough to try to get these things implemented before cooling starts so they can take credit for it?
Also - are they long term thinkers enough to say “it got too cold, now we need to act to warm the planet” and have some other freedom removing measures ready to go?
Not really long-term thought but the way the scam works. Back in the 70s it was pollution and overcrowding, dontchaknow. So money was spent on recycling, air quality research, and crying injuns of Italian descent. When the world didn’t end in 1985, well, that was because of all the work and money put into preventing it!
Another decade, same con, lifted straight from fortune-tellers at county fairs.
Slightly off-topic: I listen to a lot of old-time radio out of New York. Stuff from the 70s and 80s is FULL of doom-and-gloom PSAs... none of which ever came close to coming true.
