Another key point....Satan took Scripture out of context whereas Jesus quoted Scripture IN context!
Jesus gave the model on how to handle Scripture.
How in the world does a Roman Catholic know which of its man-made “traditions” is now correct?
All man-made traditions are fake.
Perhaps you're not familiar with the passage being referenced.
*******************
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.
11Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
14Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,
15and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE;
16in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,
19and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,
20for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak
Ephesians 6:10-20
Is that the best you can do?
So is it true or not?
If someone dies wearing it, will it keep them from hell as it states on the scapular?
You’re lying about me again.
Nobody is obligated to take any random claims as Truth and then have to disprove them. People making the claim are the ones who need to prove their assertion.
Prove it works.
Give us the list of names of people who have died wearing it and avoided hell because of it and that it's true of every single one of them.
The promise on it is what it says. Is it true or not?
That's not what it says.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
If Jesus death on the cross is not good enough for someone, then NOTHING else is going to cut it.
Father, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation.
And he said to them, Which of you who has a friend will go to him at midnight and say to him, Friend, lend me three loaves, for a friend of mine has arrived on a journey, and I have nothing to set before him; and he will answer from within, Do not bother me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed. I cannot get up and give you anything? I tell you, though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his impudence he will rise and give him whatever he needs.
And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent; or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
Your claim is not substantiated by the text in Matthew 4; unless you have some unusual definition of the word context.
Sure it's true; it's just not the scapular that does the saving.
Nope. There is no lie in what I said.
Sure it's true; it's just not the scapular that does the saving.
One of the requirements for this idol to "work" was the person has to wear it at all times.
Say what??????
Isn't that the sin of presumption?
What a pack of lies.
And then they wonder why we call the apparition *demonic*.
Staggering........
Cherry picking at it's finest.
Reread my comment.
No wonder at all.
Where did he lie?
True or not?
True
