Trump has changed the expected political discourse completely. It has become pugilistic. The statesmanlike posture of prior presidents has been relegated to history. This is the Trump era.

Reminds me of a quote from Sam Houston: “The Truth burns, but burns clean!” If a place is a rat infested mess—it must be called out and cleaned up before loads of people die of diseases. I bet people are even now. Think pollution is bad, wait till they have to burn millions of bodies! Glad Trump speaks the truth as he sees it. He doesn’t tell us what we want to hear but what we need to hear.

It would have been nice if that had been a two way street. It hasn't since 1968, and it has been all completely one-sided with disgusting vitriol from the Left aimed at non-Democrat Presidents.
Nothing made me angrier that watching them just sit and take it, while that same venom was NEVER directed at Democrat Presidents.
