What Conrad misses in his essay is the psychotic Bush Derangement Syndrome that libtards suffered under the reign of George w. Bush. That is where the term started! Who remembers the white flecks of spit coming from Keith Olbermann’s mouth on a nightly basis, he should have been in a strait jacket. All the media monkeys were screeching and throwing their feces every night. They hated Bush, with a seething, acidic hatred.
They made a movie on assassinating Bush. There was a fever to get him at all costs. Of course he was a racist as well but that should go without saying, he was Republican. ‘
Then he was gone.
It all means that no matter who the President is, if he happens to be Republican and lean to the Right, he will receive his own deranged form of hatred. (Frankly center Dems are facing it like Nancy Pelosi.)
The difference with Trump, is he hands the spit right back, and puts it in their face. The man fights on their level. He is effective and beating them at their own game. He also threatens their domination over minority voters. Trump is a massive threat.
Great points all.
With all their (Democrat media) typical venom directed as usual towards whomever the incoming Republican President is, Trump was supposed to take the humble obligatory meek attitude towards them. AND APOLOGIZE. And, say, “What do I have to do to not offend you?”.
The more Trump fights back the more deranged they become. They have no play book to go back to. Old methods of intimidating and taming a Republican President don’t work on Trump.
Old standard bearing Republicans like Romney, McCain and the Bushies were “rightly” educated and trained by the Democrat media when they were young so they knew how to behave and, of course, to be offended by any Republican who would dare to stand up to the Democrat media.
Enter Donald Trump, not of their class. A billionaire, yet he is not of their class because class to these people has nothing to do with being to the manor born but to having the imprimatur of academia. Even though he attended Wharton, he is not of the Academy. All our modern presidents since Harry Truman have had the trappings of a high-class education. All of them acted as though they have inherent claim to cap and gown. Even though they painted George Bush as a bumbling fool, he was nevertheless Yale and Harvard. Richard Nixon was to a degree despised partly because he attended Whittier College, his claim was marginal.
Donald Trump trespasses into the cathedral as a Rasputin, a despicable intruder with malevolent powers who is simply not entitled to hold the scepter because he is not of the cowl. He is a monster with evil intent who has dark powers over the deplorables and Irredeemables without the sanctification bestowed by academia.
He is a living defilement of everything they hold dear. He is illegitimate because he is of the wrong class, he is a mountebank, a fakir, a false prophet, a Neanderthal who has no right to enter the cathedral, an apostate whose very presence corrupts the holy of holies.
His in your face boorishness outrages their catechism. But if he succeeds while he is so blatantly what he is, their legitimacy as elitists disintegrates.
