The participants in this continuing, slow-motion attempted coup just keep casting their net wider and wider. The term "clutching at straws" comes to mind.

But much of this is just to have an excuse to keep all this "controversy" in the spotlight and in the public eye.

I hope so. I’m fairly certain it will work against them. They’re handing the election over. They look petty, they look like they’re unable to move on, they’re getting nothing done while chasing all this crap and the people know it.
