I understand that but he didn’t need to do that. He didn’t need to ask about the expired Special Counsel statutes either because the answer is predictable “I am not too familiar with expired code”.
He just needed to ask Mueller about the presumption of innocence. What is Mueller going to say, that he doesn’t believe in it? Follow it up with the question of exoneration. He could have then yielded all of a lot more time to Jim Jordan or someone else who knows how to hit.
