The Attorney General [Barr] has previously stated that the Special Counsel [Mueller] repeatedly affirmed that he was not saying that, but for the OLC opinion, he would have found the President obstructed justice, the statement said. The Special Counsels report and his statement today made clear that the office concluded it would not reach a determination one way or the other about whether the President committed a crime. There is no conflict between these statements.

I had forgotten about this.
Mueller’s correction today may indeed have been a substantial walk back. I would need to see the transcript of Lieu and Mueller. Also would like to see Barr’s original comments that the 29 May memo references (but too lazy to look it up at the moment).
