No, Omar did much more than merely disagree on policy. She said a bunch of hateful nasty things about America and tens if not hundreds of millions of Americans. Oh and she’s also quite the Jew hater. Let’s not dishonestly try to sweep any of this under the rug Padma.
And no, it’s not all “brown” immigrants as you and the media are once again dishonestly trying to portray it. Omar’s own hateful antiAmerican behavior is what is at issue here - not the amount of melanin in her skin - which President Trump never mentioned.
It’s true Immigrants have been of great benefit to the country overall. I haven’t heard hardly anybody dispute that or the benefits of legal immigration. Illegal aliens however or those who show up and proceed to live on the public dole while showing profound ingratitude to the country which rescued them from often terrible conditions elsewhere and then provided for them, we could do without. Imagine if I showed up to your house without you having asked me to come. Imagine you took me in and provided for me out of the goodness of your heart. You may not expect groveling displays of fealty from me, but shouldn’t I at least refrain from telling you constantly how much your home sucks, what bad faith you have, how much your home needed to change to suit me now that I’m here, etc? You might even be tempted to tell me I was free to get the hell out if I was so unhappy with how you did things in your home. No, that wouldn’t be “racist” of you either. So you can stop lying by trying to claim it is.
