Of course there's a rider attached to the bill giving Congress and Federal judges a raise to $225,000 a year.

Minimum wage is socialism and completely short circuits the law of supply and demand.

So does importing 300,000 H-1B visa immigrants. It pushes wages down. But nobody here seems to give a sh!+ about that.

If this passes the president’s desk, expect huge price inflation to follow.

It'll never even get taken up by the Senate.

Raising the minimum wage is an excellent way to kick start price inflation. And price/wage inflation is a great way to shrink the debt. That’s why some are for it. I’m not.

And yes, I know this won’t make it past the senate, my comment was regarding “if it did, and the president signed it” (which I know isn’t happening).

Not possible if the number of customers are the same. The amount or work is still the same.

ROTF!!! That's a good one! :-)

Another time wasting empty gesture, that has no chance of becoming law.

You know what sucks? Trump signs the bill floating around importing 300,000 H-1b visas and vetoes the minimum wage bill. Trump is not really pro worker then is he?

Just taking more money from corporations. It doesn’t increase productivity. It helps no one.

Besides, the government doesn’t have the right to set an hourly rate of pay.

Ever had a spa treatment at an upscale hotel or resort? They all charge 20-22% ont the bill, but allow you to modify it, which most people don’t.

>>Moat Americans don’t employ min wage workers or low skilled workers and don’t care

Most union contracts are priced as offsets to the minimum wage. This bill will kill entry level jobs, and line the pockets of the unions.

Yes, we all know the purpose the GOP is to suppress wages and keep the labor supply up. Wages cannot seem to be suppressed enough for the GOP. I guess this will prove it again.

Multible choice:

What percent of the working population is actually in a union?

  1. 30%
  2. 20%
  3. 10%
  4. 7%
