Did you know that it's illegal to mock a member of Congress? Even if you didn't know that, it's still no excuse. If you do it, you will be tracked down and thrown in jail. Frederica Wilson is done playing around with you people.

Democratic Florida Rep. Frederica Wilson asserted that people who mock members of Congress online should face prosecution.
"Those people who are online making fun of members of Congress are a disgrace, and there is no need for anyone to think that is unacceptable [sic]," Wilson said...
"We're gonna shut them down and work with whoever it is to shut them down, and they should be prosecuted," she continued. "You cannot intimidate members of Congress, frighten members of Congress. It is against the law, and it's a shame in this United States of America."
I agree wholeheartedly. Once a person is elected to public office, he and/or she is legally protected from criticism and mockery. As we approach the Fourth of July, we need to remember that talking back to our leaders is simply un-American. We're beneath them for a reason.

His first major thing he did is pretty funny. Talks about how in S. Africa his mom was black(?) and his dad was white(?) - or vice -versa. So he was called a “mixed race”, and he couldn’t be seen together in public with his white mom.
Then he hears about America - where he can be “black!” So he studies all things about black America from the movies as he plans to move to America. He is so proud that he is finally going to be a black man.
The first thing that happens is he is welcomed with open arms by a bunch of Hispanics - they think he is Mexican!
His bit about finally meeting some black guys with all of the goofy names. “Shwaneeka, etc.”

I used to laugh when Carson would do a joke about Reagan, or Leno(?) on Bush. Even the early years of Letterman he could poke fun at them I would laugh. Some of them were very clever.
Granted, when Letterman went off the deep end I gave up on all of those evening comedy shows. So perhaps they still do some clever routines? But I don’t think so based on what little I hear about them now.
