Legally speaking, isn’t there a difference between segregated schools in the old South, which were segregated by law, and segregation because of housing patterns??
She is mixing and matching fundamentally different issues.
Does she really think that reviving an old unpopular issue from the 60s and 70s is going to be a winning political issue???
Interesting she compsres segregation in schools from when she was in elementary school.to today. Many may not know she lived in Canada for many years and went to high school in Canada.
It was in Boston and northern cities that the issue was most acrimonious.
I was bused in 1976 to balance class size in my school district and basically my fifth grade year was erased. Like being ripped away from the only friends I had.
Speaking of which, there is still a desegregation order in the Huntsville, AL city schools - over 50 years after it was first implemented. Zero’s and Holder’s DOJ made sure of that the last time it came up.
