Professor Donald Harris, Kamalas Jamaican father, has taken offense at statements made during his daughters interview on the Breakfast Club radio show last week, specifically attributing her support for smoking marijuana to her Jamaican heritage.
Professor Harris responded to the interview in a statement to jamaicaglobalonline.com:
My dear departed grandmothers(whose extraordinary legacy I described in a recent essay on this website), as well as my deceased parents , must be turning in their grave right now to see their familys name, reputation and proud Jamaican identity being connected, in any way, jokingly or not with the fraudulent stereotype of a pot-smoking joy seeker and in the pursuit of identity politics. Speaking for myself and my immediate Jamaican family, we wish to categorically dissociate ourselves from this travesty.

Kamala’s father was not only an alien, he declared a British passport when he disembarked at a US port of entry.
Look deep within this thread, related documents posted there.

That looks like some crappy weed. Jus’ sayin’.
The “heels-up”, knees-wide” KamelToe is INELIGIBLE to be POTUS.
Thank you.
She’s pretty obviously raising funds under false pretenses
“Kamala Harris IS NOT Black But She Is An ANCHOR BABY!”
(by Anthony B. Logan, Certified Black Man and awesome conservative!)
Outstanding 9 minute video. Kamalas mother is 100% India-Indian. (Kamala is a Sanskrit name, according to ABL.) Kamalas dad is a less than 25% black Jamaican, with plantation- and slave-owning ancestors. Kamala is for sure less than 1/8 African.

Holy cow. I'm shocked.
Apparently links to the images of those documents, has timed out.
In light of reporting of Kamala Harris’ impact within the first round of Democratic debates, we’ll work on getting them reposted (soon) - possibly on a new thread.
They don't call it "Jamaica Blue" (After the Blue Mountains) for no reason!
Connection is easy and obvious.
I see you are not a sincere Freeper, though.
Intellectually dishonest and favoring Harris.
She does have slave ancestry, there is no reason to doubt that, as her father is indisputably part-African and there were exceedingly few free, voluntary immigrants to the Americas in the 18th-19th century.
The free half-breed Jamaicans are the product of mating between whites and black slaves or ex-slaves, resulting in a complex mix of genetics, and a particular caste of people with its own culture and identity. A very similar case happened in Louisiana and elsewhere in the US, and you also had half breed slaveowners in this country.
The world is a complicated place, which does not mix well with the crude political rhetoric that K.Harris is trying to use.
I dont know how proggie he is, but he does have pride in his own people.
American politicians usually have no such firm frame of reference.
K. Harris was in fact raised by her mother, an Indian, not her father, so its probably no accident that theres not much connection there.
Jamacian Blue? Asking for a friend.
We weren’t a bunch of lazy dope smokin Jamaican’s, we were Proud Slave Owners with a Plantation.
That’s ok, he isnt her real father...
I recently stumbled upon the origin of the Rastafarian religion. It’s ridiculous.
They believe that the king of Kenya (circa the 1950’s) is the Messiah, Jesus returned, and he is called the Lion of Judah. When he landed in Jamaica in the sixties for a tour, his plane was swarmed and he could not leave. He had also promised Jamaicans land and sanctuary in Kenya, which was doing fairly well at the time. He had denounced the idea on several occasions that he was the Messiah, but was not believed.
Very strange. I don’t think modern Rastas adhere to this version.
I much prefer the Pastafarians & their worship of the Flying Spaghetti Monster while wearing collanders on their heads.
Atheists with a sense of humor are quite rare.
So if she gains traction in the Dim free-for-all, it would be hilarious if her dad raised the eligibility question.
