I think the dynamics have changed in several important ways, and it is quite possible that if Roy Moore runs, he will win.
First of all, a Presidential election year will produce a greatly increased turnout by Republicans in Alabama, while I believe the Democrats threw everything they possibly had into the 2017 contest, and so now they will simply not be able to match the Republican turnout.
Secondly, after so many people woke up to the fact they were launching lying smear attacks against Justice Brett Kavanaugh using false sexual accusations, people are now less willing to believe these 40 year old accusations from two kook bitches that never should have been taken seriously in the first place.
Thirdly, I have been told that Moore gave a speech during his announcement, and he seems to have learned a bit better how to play the game of politics. People said he dealt with the issue forthrightly and matter of factly, and he actually sounded more competent and on top of it than he had done in his previous efforts.
Roy Moore may very well win it, and then some people will end up having to kiss the @$$ of the person who's toes they have been stepping on.
I agree with you. I think that Alabamians are not going to fall for the smear tactics of Karl Rove and the Demoncrats this time.
“and it is quite possible that if Roy Moore runs, he will win”
“Possible” for a Republican to win in Alabama. You could only say that if Roy Moore is the nominee.
Any other Republican is a SHOE IN. A certain win.
AL votes nearly 70% GOP in Presidential elections.
And how much damage can be done by leaving Jones in the senate. If he loves this country, if he wants to keep judges getting approved, he will not run. Its a selfish act.
