So what? A lot of people remain married. Doesn’t make them electable.
The point is that the media wanted to portray Moore as a child molester and stalker, like say, Anthony Weiner who kept repeating his sexting even after getting caught and losing his House seat.
The point is that Moore exhibited NO repeat behavior after getting married, suggesting that he was not a creepy perv, but just a man with a lost decade due to serving in Vietnam, who came home to rural Alabama and went looking for a mate.
The likeliest explanation is that most of the women of his age were already married, and so he had to look to younger women finishing up school. Just look at his wife as an example: she was 21 when she got married, and already had one child when she married Moore. Her first husband was only one year older than she was, so they married young as was likely for many women in Gadsden.
