How Roy Moore Could Actually Win Alabama’s Republican Senate Primary
FiveThirtyEight ^ | Live Blog: Women’s World Cup Jun. 20, 2019 | Geoffrey Skelley

A large primary field may fragment the vote, making it unlikely that a candidate could win a majority and avoid a runoff and making it easier for Moore to advance to a runoff with only the support of his base.

The point is that Moore does have a path — especially a path to a primary runoff if there’s a crowded GOP field. And if he does get there, he would be only one step away from a rematch with Jones.

Moore would still have a decent chance of winning a general election in conservative Alabama, and that is surely a big part of why he’s running again.

As I told you back in April, Moore would stomp Sessions by reminding Alabamans that he did NOTHING during his two years as Attorney General instead of taking out the Derp State Coup Plotters. Why would Alabamans reward someone like that ?

Session is a sure win, if he gets in... Moore? He has a solid loyal base, no doubt, but that didn’t get him over the finish line last time, and doubtful he would do any better second time around.

Your theory requires that of the 1,318,255 Alabamians that voted for Trump in 2016, many will cross over and vote for Doug Jones.

Doug Jones got 673,896 votes in 2017. That's a difference of 644,349 votes, and you are going to tell me that 644,349 people who voted for Trump are going to then vote for Democrat Doug Jones?

I don't think so.

Oh, and I just bet you were with Todd Akin to the bitter end.

Hell, you were probably counseling his crazy wife.

They don’t have to vote for Jones... they just have to NOT vote for Moore... and that is certainly possible. Don’t tell me that people skip races on the ballot if they don’t like their party’s candidate.

Moore took a race that he should have won by at least 10 and lost... no reason to trust anything with him on the ballot....

Until proven otherwise, I will believe Moore is being paid by Soros.

Might as well have an article titled, “How The Baltimore Orioles Can Win The World Series”

Did you ever pile on Ms. Ford at a party?

Accused of sexually assaulting someone is not the same as accused of trying to flirt with them.

Clearly Roy Moore did not understand how this political game must be played. No half measures. The only appropriate response is full throated denial, and do not attempt to be fair to people making accusations against you.

Roy should have just said "no, I didn't stalk anyone", even if some girls may have thought he did.

In many cases, the difference between sexual harassment and flirting is whether or not the girl likes you. Unfortunately, young men will think the girl likes them because that's what they wish to believe, and sometimes they end up making fools of themselves.

No gray areas allowed in politics. Everything must be in stark black and white.

Ah yes, behold Lisa Bloom and Gloria Allred. Lisa is a true champion of women, especially a champion of paying them off and intimidating them when ole Harvey Weinstein is pumping in the moola.

And the fact that daughter tried this exact same sh*t on Trump does not give anyone pause to think maybe Allred's attempt to do it to Moore is similarly contrived?

Ex-OH Gov. Pig Vomit WAS paid by Soros, because he was a corrupt Derp Stater. Moore is anything but.

He married a woman when she was 24 and he was 32 and is still married to her.

Moore was 38. Married in 1985, born in 1947.

You know maybe it’s unfair to Moore. But politics isn’t about fairness, it’s about getting results, and the bottom line is Moore doesn’t get the results.

Moore has a bigger problem: He’s a loser.

This was the only race that he lost as the nominee, due to incredible levels of sabotage and slander. I’m not expecting him to prevail in the primary runoff (unless his opponent is an exceptional RINO or corrupt, as Luther Strange was), which is likely to occur, but he is a good man that does not deserve these vile attacks from our side that sound like they come straight from the moonbat media/DNC/Soros machine.

It shouldn’t have even been close enough for fraud, if another candidate had run instead.

17 was legal, so Seinfeld was OK. What was legal in Moore’s state when he was in his 30s?

It appears to be 16, but i'm not sure what that has to do with it. Only one person claimed she was under the age of 16 in an alleged encounter with Moore, and that person is Leigh Corfman, who is not credible at all given her lifestyle at the time and her subsequent life thereafter.

Has nothing to do with “vile attacks.” It has everything to do with electability.
