You obviously are unaware of the absolute shit-state of the Argentine armed forces. Back then, they had an aircraft carrier and a capable airforce. Nowadays they have no combat jets and a few barely functional surface combatants in a poor state of repair and inadequate training, and no logistical capacity to launch and invasion capable of overwhelming the 1,500 garrison on the Falklands. The Falklands garrison alone has more military capability than the entire Argentine military these days.
The HMS Queen Elizabeth will also reach IOC next year, with F35Bs. Argentina ain’t taking anything, never mind holding it.

I am fully aware but we are talking long term. Even if it would come to sticks and stones Argentines would have better chances due to a proximity of the islands.
