That is an amazingly dumb thing to say. Would not know where to start, so won’t try.
You can argue with that opinion all you want. But through my interactions with southerners that is what I have observed. That’s not to say most of them that I’ve met were fine honest and polite people and I like them but those that I’ve know were very prideful and did in fact make poor career and life decisions because of it.
