Political commentator Julianne Malveaux called Republicans “The Devil” during a Congressional hearing regarding slavery reparations on Wednesday, where she was speaking as a witness.
Malveaux said that Democrats were “the devil once upon a time,” but that “Republicans took that over, and they became the devil.”
The hearing was held by the House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties to discuss “the Path to Restorative Justice.” Specifically, they were discussing H.R. 40 — a bill that proposes a commission on reparations. Ta-Nehisi Coates, Danny Glover, Sen. Cory Booker and various other activists also spoke.

Actually a fair translation would be “evil lump.” Which she is.
Actually, I am all in favor of reparations, as long as those benefiting and those paying are guilty parties.
The Democratic Party is the most responsible, so should have to pay most of the reparations. The US government, the individual states, and the taxpayers are not responsible.
Only people who can reasonably prove that their ancestors were black slaves in the US should get money.
But more importantly, since there are only a limited number of people whose ancestors owned slaves, such as Anderson Cooper, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paula Deen, Mitt Romney, Bill Paxton, Pastor Rick Warren (deliverer of the invocation at President Obama’s 2009 inauguration), the Bush family, Ben Affleck, Larry David, the John McCain family, the Jimmy Carter family, Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Spike Lee, and Denzel Washington, they are the ones who should pay the balance.

I’m kinda curious about the proposed form these reparations would take. An apology? A one time cash payout? A mutigenerational lordship of color?

There's no end. Read a screed on some BP website where the writer thought about 300 ears worth of 'reparations' might be a good ***start***. He envisioned a world where blacks lived a life of leisure and luxury.
They picture a life free of responsibility, anything less is oppressive.
