“Just to note, some may not know, Weiner is his legal name.

Michael Savage is a stage name he adopted for his public persona.”

Thanks. I kind of thought that was why people were talking about Weiner but wasn’t 100% sure.

I’ve tried listening to Savage Weiner, but didn’t like him. I have a vague recollection about some perceived slight that Savage got from Trump. Can’t remember the details.

Again, let me repeat for the thousandth time:

The reason why Trump hasn't been doing enough on the border (as we thought he would do) has to do with him being bogged down by the stupid Russia hoax and his counter-investigation into bringing up all this crap to light.

I would rather see Trump defeat the Deep State first before going after illegals. We can always deport illegals and triage the situation for now. We can't just defeat thousands of bureaucrats and Deep State operatives overnight.

So, once Barr and Durham and Huber and Horowitz unleash the Kraken, then we'll see immediate work being done on the border.

Savage needs to drum up ratings. Trump needs to drum up supporters even though his basis not going to waver at this point. Trumpbots is a leftist term after Trump stated he could shoot someone and his supporters would still follow him. I support Trump but worry more so of what happens after he is out of office either in 2024 or 2020. We have no one, and I reiterate, no one to continue what is being done now by Trump. The left knows this and they are telling Iran this and others that just wait until Trump is out of office. Iran apparently doesn’t have patience but other countries do or can’t afford to confront the US with Trump as President.

If Dems get the WH back, the first year we will be back into the Iranian deal. I almost guarantee it. We will also be put back into the Paris Accord. One thing Trump taught the left was that a previous President’s legacy acquired through EO (pen and phone) can be overturned quite readily. One of the reasons why Trump initially did not want to do as many EOs that he had. He had no choice when Ryan the RINO, fought him in the House of Reps. Yeah, I get the fact that the Prez is frustrated with a do-nothing Congress but this is the way the Founders design the system and for good reason.

My concern again is not while Trump is in office, it is what is going to happen when he is out. I will vote for him again but after that, it’s anyone’s game.

There was an article on FR a few months back about him teaming up with Glenn Beck - maybe it was satire.

I don’t have the link handy. I was just looking for it.

Hmmmmm.....

It stunned me (my beeber) at the time.

That is correct. This is one man fighting a huge beast.

I used to listen until I realized that Savage wears conservatism like a merit badge on his sleeve, but there’s something else lurking inside. Half the time he seemed to go off of his noodle and expose himself.

“To too many people he’s not a human being, he’s a demigod,” Mr. Savage said

Not so. If he were a demigod all the problems would be fixed by now. I think Trump has done a remarkable job. He has accomplished more in two years than any politician in my lifetime. I realize he is a man and he is fighting crooked swamp creatures everyday to get things done. To whine and complain that he hasn’t solved some problem yet is childish.

I’m always surprised at those who fault Trump for not fulfilling every promise he made.

How could he have anticipated being alone in the fight? The entire combined forces of leftism are constantly doing all in their power to stop him, and those who should be on his side (Republicans) are attacking him and fighting him instead of helping.

That he’s accomplished anything at all is amazing to me, given that he is alone against a constant resistance.

Savage is a megalomaniac kook. His radio persona, as well as the positions he takes, have nothing to do with his personal beliefs. He constantly attacks radio personalities with better ratings than his, as well as any others that are close. Part of his problem with Trump is that POTUS is personally close to both Rush and Hannity, both of whom he is obsessively jealous of. I don’t think either of them has ever spoken Savage’s name on the air.

Wow. I kinda liked him a bit - would listen to him after Rush then Hannity and maybe Medved but now even those last two are drifting.

Here’s a simple question for Mr. Savage, who is almost always on the correct side of any issue he discusses:

“Who, in either party, would be a better President at this time, and in these circumstances, than Donald Trump?”

IMHO, the answer is “nobody.” It certainly isn’t Hillary or ANY of the red diaper dopers in the Democrat Party. As for the R’s, NONE of them would have done anything at all about immigration, and they are the very reason why nothing was done in Trump’s first 2 years when we had both Houses and the White House. Romney? Yeah, right. Rubio? No chance. Cruz? I generally like the guy and he’s my Senator (and he’s WAY more conservative than Cornholio), but he would not have done half of what Trump has.

Trump is better than all of the rest, even as he hasn’t been able to deliver on all of his promises (yet). I’ll take him, and back him to the hilt, because this is a guy who is NOT a politician, and who is a person who really means what he says. He had no particular reason to run for POTUS, knowing what a shark tank DC is, but ran anyway because he loves this country. He ran DESPITE the fact that he knew he’d be miserable in office.

I wish that Savage would take this into account before spouting off.
