What gets me is that he could donate the $500 million to add filtering technology to the coal plants throughout the US and lessen pollution output, and he just won’t do that.

Coal fired power plants only put out about 1% as much pollution as 40 years ago. They are already clean. This is the reason the EPA needed to declare CO2 a pollutant. There was no pollution coming from coal plants any longer. In order to continue the crusade, they had to find a new pollutant to go after.
