Most of my reading is John Sanford, John Grisham, James Patterson, Tom Clancy, etc...I rarely read any science/fantasy fiction...
Understood. Still, I can’t think of anyone I’ve met in the US who, if the subject came up, has not seen at least one of the “Rings” movies or read one of the books...
Granted that when I had time to do it in the past, my sci-fi reading was mainly “hard” sci-fi, sometimes referred to as “speculative fiction”. Heinlein, Asimov, Niven, Schmitz, etc. “What if”, and then proceed reasonably logically from there. LOTR was an exception in terms of my reading fare. But then the movies came out, and, IMO, they really were well done / compelling. So, I watched them all & got a DVD set for a b’day.
But, I digress.
More urgent (and “real”) is: Can I get away for a couple hours this next weekend to the only lake in my region where trout survive year-round? :-)
