I can tell you few things...I used to guide fishing in the Park....Use ultra-light spinning rod and small reel...4lb test lines...Get 4 or 5 Rooster Tails (single hook is all thats allowed in the Park) 1/16 or 1/24 oz...Dark body with a gold spinner (most baitfish in streams are brown to goldish in color).Fish at a 45 degree upstream or straight upstream (Trout face into the current looking for food to come downstream at them). Reel just a little faster than the current...Toss into a fast area that goes into a slower pool...Take your time and work upstream...

Now where to fish...Go into the Park from Gatlinburg...Turn right at Sugarlands Ranger Station and continue on up the mountain until you pass the Elkmont turnoff on the left...Now you will see Little River on your left...Find a pull off and start fishing...You can continue to drive on downstream and there are many pulloffs where you can park and fish the stream...Good luck...

BTW, my wife wants to go back to that area (Smokies), next summer perhaps — I’m taking your fishing recommendations too! Good info. that I didn’t even ask for - thanks. :-)
