What? This must be a misprint, because there is NO Intelligence in the State Department.
And that’s not exactly an “Intelligence Agency” either. WaPo Headline is (not surprisingly) misleading.

More importantly, why does such an office even exist in the State Dept? State Dept is there to project US foreign policy and to assist US citizens abroad, what do these people do, that can’t be done or isn’t being done by someone else?
