Did he specify $750/day..week...month.. or hour?
I believe it was per theft. But, if he suspected you were stealing for resale, why then he might prosecute you. Also the theft had to be for ‘necessities’. So I suppose that stealing a generator during a black out might qualify. After all, you don’t want those steaks you stole going bad in your refrigerator.
I wonder what his attitude is towards those who attempt to resist said thieves? I believe Texas allows people to defend property. Most states don’t.
