The fact is, Mexico does not really have control of their own borders. The country is run by the cartels for the most part. To gain control will take time, but I am not sympathetic. Trump has been on them about this for a couple years now. They could have begun to do something a long time ago if they weren’t hollowed out with corruption. They can start by not running busloads of criminals right up to the American border.

And President Trump made it clear he won’t accept, “It’s the cartels running the show” as an excuse....either the Mexican government asserts it runs the country or they ask for help in destroying the cartels...but they cannot claim they can’t do anything....
