"Come And Go With Me" - The Dell Vikings Same title, same year, different song.
Come and Go With Me--The Spirit of Memphis (1957)

I like it! (One of those groups must have had a hard time pitching that song title to the record company, if there already was a song that year with that same title!)

One of those groups must have had a hard time pitching that song title to the record company, if there already was a song that year with that same title! These two different songs with the same title charted nationally at the same time, in February, 1962. Benny Spellman's opus is a good example of New Orleans-style rock and roll while Bobby Curtola's is more of a pop standard. I once saw Bobby Curtola doing a lounge act in Las Vegas in the 1980's.
Fortune Teller--Bobby Curtola
Fortune Teller--Benny Spellman

Sometimes two groups with the same name will chart at the same time. The first of these is from Southern California and the other is from England. Both scored in the late summer/early fall of 1962.
Bustin' Surfboards--The Tornados
Telstar--The Tornados

I guess that (two songs with the same title) is more common than I thought!
To: Fiji Hill
That's even more confusing, when two groups have the same name. (There's only one "Beatles" group, isn't there?)

Only song I can think of that had a punch line.
