Take a look at the 10 year olds in your neighborhood; could they fight a war is a couple of years? WWII was won by a bunch of US graduates of 8th grade - they improvised, they attacked by surprise, they survived on meager rations. Could the youngsters in your neighborhood do that?
I wouldn’t discount the chances that the Mexicans could wipe out the “best” the US could put up.
The US military today is not comprised of uneducated youngsters, but are highly trained logistical soldiers. If the Mexican military is so good, why can’t they defeat the cartels who have destroyed the lives of their own good people?
I was in the store today getting groceries and usually I have to change isles to get past the two fat people on the phones or something. However today I went to the self check area. (notice I said area its not a isle its about 15ft x 10ft area)

Anyway I could barley squeak by them and the other round lady overseeing the round people saw from the computer terminal thing came out literally asked them to move out of the way and they did about no more then two inches and I got barley though.

I get your drift about the kids today. However, I recall hearing the same being said about we kids as the Vietnam War was heating up. A lot of young American Heroes perished disproving that. just sayin’
They can’t handle their own cartels so I doubt Mexico could do much of anything to us in a straight up and down fight.
