...Assuming any of it happened as she claimed. She never reported it or sought help for any injuries sustained, so there are no police reports, rape kits or evidence she was in fact raped, and she has named no perps. It is possible none of that happened, since evidence is wholly lacking, and the source of her mental issues is something else entirely, like the attention craving mentally disturbed Prof. Ford, the Kavenaugh accuser who could find no one to support her claims, whose trigger seems to have been displeasure about a door on her house, of all things.
This girl had massive mental problems but so far no proof any of it was caused by rape.
Imagine seeing it as a six year-old. That what I was.
The only other movie I remember from back then involved someone getting stabbed in the face with a pair of scissors.
Watching that crap, then going to bed listening to Inner Sanctum, no wonder I’m such a mess. LOL
I find it abhorrent that medical/mental health system allowed, sanctioned, this girl to commit suicide. If the trauma this 17 year old experienced was at age 14 years, wouldn’t it make sense that it may take longer for a person to heal from such a trauma; as there is no standard time for one to heal from any kind trauma. It seems like the system is even more sick then the patients.
A lot of women were raped in WWII that continued on.

I see no reason to not believe her story. Do you believe she killed herself because people didn’t believe her either?
I’m not putting down Johnny Belinda at all but I don’t think you’ve seen Two Women in a long time. We see the horrifyingly eager Moroccans at the door of the church - filthy, crazy - and then we see them separate the two women from each other and descend over the women like ants on a piece of sugar. Later, we see the mother wiping her thighs while she looks on to the dead, shocked face of her daughter, her clothes torn to bits. The daughter is basically catatonic. As would any young girl who went through this real and true event. Later on, the daughter compulsively cleans herself in a brook while her mother looks on in tender pity.
A very great film by DeSica based on a real event.

I myself suffer from mental illness. the biggest problem with getting treatment by mental health professionals is a lot of times they are more ill then there clients....just like pedophiles are attracted to working with kids the mentally ill is attracted to working within the mental health field. …Anyone who has a family member getting mental health treatment be very aware that the person giving treatment might have a mental health issue that interferes with treatment…. I believe that this girl was victimized by the therapist involved who probably was a rape victim that never came to terms with there rape and used the child as a sureget for there own issues.
I guess you haven't heard about Muslim grooming gangs in Europe, who follow this exact MO... underage white girl, gang raped, repeatedly over time, and threaten the victim if they tell anyone. The EU helps the rapists by attacking anyone who reports a crime by a Muslim, especially rape. Read about Rotherham, for just one of literally dozens of examples across Europe today.
(And by dozens, I mean dozens of cities where THOUSANDS of underage white girls are repeatedly gang-raped by Muslims in just the last few years.)

And, yes, it took a lot of strength on the part of those women to survive THAT. This person obviously didn’t HAVE that strength. I have no idea about today’s youth, in general - either in Europe OR in America, nor do I see how that relates to the issue at hand.
