This is a bone for the farmers, of which I am one. Simply asking farmers to adjust, or not plant corn is not feasible. I’d love to plant hemp, more money, hell I’d grow marijuana, but government restricts what I plant, basically restricts everything. If they lift restrictions on selling of ethanol, it’s the least they can do. Don’t buy it, but I know a lot of green loving granolas will love it cause they are “saving the environment”
I believe there’s a way to help farmers make the same or even more money but there must be political will in DC to make it happen. Farmers like yourself have the answers better than 99% of the politicians; most of which can’t be trusted.
The problem is complex. Votes count of course, then there are the eco-terrorists, then the dems in congress who just want to make life as difficult as possible for both President Trump and most Americans.
